The Dangerous Witness - Episode 43

Speed, Trixie, Spritle and Chim Chim are flying to Hong Kong for the Hong Kong International Race. Speed notices a woman passenger acting mysteriously as she plays with her compact. The compact is actually a sophisticated weapon which fires a poisoned dart at a another passenger sitting further back in the plane. As Speed tries to question the woman, she collapses because she has been hit with a similar poisoned dart. We see the stewardess in the back of the plane with an evil smirk. Chim Chim hands Speed an invitation to one of Hong Kong's floating restaurants. The invitation fell out of the woman's purse.

Speed is accosted by a group of reporters as he gets off the plane, but they split immediately when Princess Petal's plane lands. She is a mysterious princess from the Kingdom of Blossombow in the Middle East. Speed puts his foot in it when he admires the princess for her elegance.

An assassin has her sights on the princess, but she is restrained by the stewardess who cautions her that it's not the right time.

Speed and company are on a ferry boat. As they pass a junk parked in the harbor, the assassin hiding on the junk takes aim at Speed. She misses and hits the boat captain who was talking with Speed. When she realizes her mistake, she takes off in the speedboat which was disguised as a junk.

Speed's room at the hotel is number 707. Speed is picking his nose in the hotel lobby. A man named Agent 9 is watching him and reports Speed's location on the telephone.

In the hotel room, Speed is piecing together the puzzle. He pronounces the word "figure" correctly. He realizes that maybe he's the target. Speed and Trixie travel through town by rickshaw. Speed wants to visit the floating restaurant. The feature act is a dancer with long sharp knives. Princess Petal is also in the audience. Speed stares at the princess and Trixie kicks him underneath the table.

When the dance hits a crescendo, the dancer throws one of the knives at Princess Petal, but Speed catches it in mid-flight. She throws the second knife and Speed deflects it into a diner's plate. She runs and Speed chases. She throws her entire arsenal at him.

Somehow Speed got by the throwing stars and mini-bombs. Princess Petal has summoned him. She needs his protection. Speed is discussing his new appointment with Trixie. Agent 9 is watching.

Speed is disguised as an elderly tour guide for the princess, who is actually Trixie. They pass by statues of Prince Whozamawhatsis and his pet pig Snortaporcine and his mother Queen Tsetse. An exploding arrow is shot at them. The attacker is revealed as the dancer from the restaurant. She takes off when she realizes she's been had and jumps over a railing into a red sports car, license 123-1. Speed takes chase in the Mach Five. The red car has a few James Bond gadgets on it including a poison gas dispenser.

Speed gets alongside and knocks the red car into the side of the cliff. Agent 9 shows up and takes the woman into custody. The woman says that they haven't seen anything yet until they meet up with X.

The Hong Kong International Race is ready to begin. Princess Petal is watching. There is a woman entered in the race (the stewardess, the mysterious Miss X, maybe?). Speed has it in his mind that the leader is a man, but he finally realizes that all the members of the gang have been women. He puts it together. A rocket launcher appears in the front of the car the woman is driving. Speed abandons the race and heads back and knocks the car off course. The missile explodes as it hits a light standard.

Speed got a DNF in the race, but saving the princess' life was more important.
